Hemitoxin
Hemitoxin: toxin properties
Hemitoxin has been isolated from the venom of the scorpion Hemiscorpius lepturus. This toxin blocks rat voltage-gated potassium channels Kv1.1 (KCNA1), Kv1.2 (KCNA2) and Kv1.3 (KCNA3) expressed in Xenopus oocytes. IC50 is 13 nM, 16 nM and 2 nm for the channels Kv1.1, Kv1.2 and Kv1.3.
